Testing of the operational and data collection system for TEMPO, the first space-based instrument to monitor major air pollutants across the North American continent, has been completed by Intelsat. The new UV-visible spectrometer, operated by Intelsat for NASA and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, will be hosted on the Intelsat 40e (IS-40e) satellite set for launch next month.
