We talk with Brian about the basics of technology transfer, which makes technology developed by NASA and other government agencies available to universities, private companies and others for further research and integration into products for use in space and on Earth.
Technology transfer works both ways, with universities and private industry licensing hardware, patents and intellectual property back to the government.
