The space segment carries a $7.7 billion figure in Fiscal Year 2026 budget planning, sits alongside a $17.5 billion Golden Dome request in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget process, and belongs to a broader program whose publicly cited total cost figures now range from $175 billion under the executive-order baseline to approximately $185 billion in revised official discussion.
By the time a task order arrives in language that looks familiar to the outside market, the most consequential decisions are often already underway. Teaming structures are being assembled, facilities are being loaded, and the best sub-tier suppliers are being tied up by primes that understand the opportunity earlier than everyone else.
