Spire Global Reports Strong Q2 Revenue Growth
Space Technology Company Maintains Full-Year Guidance
Space-based data provider Spire Global Inc. reported preliminary second-quarter revenue between $18.0 million and $19.0 million while securing several high-value government contracts that strengthen its position in defense and weather intelligence markets.
The Vienna, Virginia-based company maintained its full-year revenue guidance of $85.0 million to $95.0 million and expects to finish 2025 with more than $100 million in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities. As of June 30, the company held $117.6 million in these liquid assets.
Spire secured multiple significant contracts during the quarter. The company received a $1.2 million NASA contract renewal for Earth observation data, extending a $6.7 million task order awarded in August 2024. Under this agreement, Spire continues delivering comprehensive Earth observation data including Global Navigation Satellite System radio occultation, GNSS Reflectometry and space weather measurements.
The European Space Agency awarded Spire a contract under its Third Party Mission program to supply historical weather data collected by its satellites. This agreement provides European researchers access to historical Earth intelligence data, including GNSS-Reflectometry and Polarimetric Radio Occultation data, supporting climate research on sea ice, soil moisture and precipitation.
The company expanded its defense capabilities by launching new space-based radio frequency intelligence tools for defense and security applications. These enhanced offerings enable government agencies and defense sectors to access advanced RF intelligence for emergency beacon detection and GNSS interference tracking. The expanded Space Reconnaissance portfolio now includes capabilities to collect and process unencrypted voice transmissions from space using artificial intelligence for real-time transcription and translation.

Spire also introduced Aircraft Exposure Analytics, combining global flight data with meteorological alerts to deliver environmental exposure metrics for individual aircraft. This service helps airlines, maintenance teams and aviation insurers understand how weather conditions affect aircraft performance and long-term wear.
The company continued developing its next-generation Hyperspectral Microwave Sounder, completing a successful airborne demonstration with the Met Office and NOAA's Joint Venture Partnership Program. The first sensor is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026.
For the third quarter of 2025, Spire expects revenue between $19.5 million and $21.5 million. The company is currently seeking a new independent auditor and expects to receive proposals from participating firms by late August 2025.
Spire operates a fully deployed satellite constellation that observes Earth in real time using radio frequency technology. The company provides global weather intelligence, ship and plane tracking, and spoofing detection services to predict how patterns impact economies, security and business operations.
