NASA Licenses Avionics Technology To Space AI Company
Rocket One Plans Phased Rollout Toward Commercial Mission-Planning Software
Rocket One Inc. has signed a nonexclusive license with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to use a NASA-developed avionics technology as the base for a planned artificial intelligence software platform, the company said Thursday.

The agreement covers NASA’s Affordable Vehicle Avionics System, known as AVA, which the space agency designed to lower the cost of guidance, navigation and control systems for launch vehicles. Rocket One, traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker RKTO, is based in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Under the license, Rocket One holds rights to build and sell software, analytical tools and technical workflows using the NASA technology, limited to modeling, simulation, testing and mission planning for spacecraft avionics. The company said it intends to fold the technology into an AI-enabled platform aimed at commercial launch providers, satellite operators, aerospace companies, defense contractors and government agencies.

Rocket One described a phased commercialization plan that runs from product architecture and prototype development through market validation, pilot programs and an initial commercial launch. The company said it expects to pursue collaborations with commercial space firms, universities, government organizations and other aerospace partners as the platform advances.
Rocket One’s other holdings include a nanomagnetic chip architecture the company has described as a hardware accelerator for AI workloads in radiation-tolerant environments such as low Earth orbit. The company was known as Hoth Therapeutics before rebranding in May 2026, and its biotechnology programs continue under a separate subsidiary.
The NASA license adds to a string of technology agreements Rocket One has announced this year as it builds out its AI infrastructure holdings for space and defense applications.
