A $103 million contract has been awarded to Thales Alenia Space by Airbus Defence and Space to develop the two IRIS altimeter flight models (Interferometric Radar Altimeter for Ice and Snow) for the Copernicus polaR Ice and Snow Topography ALtimeter (CRISTAL) mission.
