Intrado Announced as Newest SIA Member

Intrado Life & Safety, Inc. has been announced as the newest member of the Satellite Industry Association. The company is a provider of emergency communications services across North America and nineteen additional countries – including 911 emergency services across the United States.

As a provider of 911 systems and services for satellite providers, Intrado has firsthand experience with the power of Supplemental Coverage from Space (“SCS”) to supplement wireless emergency connectivity and response in rural and remote areas that have no other means of reaching 911. This includes satellite-enabled emergency messaging or text-to-9-1-1 capability and the ability for users to reach first responders, even when they are located far beyond the coverage of terrestrial-based mobile networks.
