International Collaboration MoU Signed at Space Symposium
Space Florida and Cross U Will Explore Joint Initiatives
Aerospace finance and development authority Space Florida and technology transfer and international business expansion platform Cross U recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Japanese Pavilion at Space Symposium to collaborate and enhance innovation, and facilitate the growth of Florida’s international aerospace ecosystem.
"Partnerships like this are part of how we solidify Florida’s dominance in the global space economy and build upon the pro-business ecosystem Gov. Ron DeSantis has built.”

Through this MOU, Space Florida and Cross U will work together to facilitate the sharing of cutting-edge aerospace technologies and attract international companies to expand their footprint in Florida’s expanding space ecosystem.
“Space Florida continues to lead in identifying strategic partnerships with nations who together can have a profound impact on global aerospace commerce,” said Rob Long, president and CEO, Space Florida. “The international aerospace industry is projected to grow to $1.8 trillion by 2035, driven by increasing demand for commercial space activities. Partnerships like this are part of how we solidify Florida’s dominance in the global space economy and build upon the pro-business ecosystem Gov. Ron DeSantis has built.”
“Under Governor DeSantis’ leadership, Florida continues to create pathways for investment, ensuring our great state remains at the forefront of the next era of space commerce and high-tech innovation,” said Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly. “This MOU is the direct result of several successful trade missions that the Governor, SelectFlorida and Space Florida have led to Japan in recent years—strengthening economic and cultural ties between Florida and Japan.”
"Cross U serves as a platform to accelerate the growth of Japan’s space industry. We are confident that our collaboration with Space Florida—one of the world’s leading hubs for aerospace—will mutually enhance the development of the space sectors in both regions,” said Masafumi Yonazu, Cross U Secretary General.
Through this collaboration, Space Florida and Cross U will explore joint initiatives, including investment opportunities, research partnerships, and knowledge exchange through its programs. The agreement will also help bridge gaps between international markets and Florida’s aerospace industry, positioning the state as the premier destination for space-related business and development.
