India Asks SpaceX Starlink to Stop Soliciting Preorders
India has asked SpaceX to stop soliciting preorders for its LEO Internet service.
The Indian government’s warning to consumers not to preorder SpaceX Starlink satellite broadband terminals before the company receives an operating license came nine months after the solicitations began.
Starlink began soliciting subscription reservations in India early this year, asking for $99 deposits to preorder terminals.
The practice drew a protest from the Broadband India Forum.
