The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) has announced that satellite solutions and services provider Globalstar is the newest affiliate member of SIA. Globalstar offers next-generation IoT solutions for tracking and monitoring assets and processing smart data as well as its line of SPOT GPS messengers. The Company’s LEO satellite constellation provides secure and reliable data transmission.

The convergence of satellite connectivity with various terrestrial forms of connectivity is helping redefine the IoT and 5G landscape, and Globalstar also offers services and solutions in this area. These include n53, Globalstar mid-band spectrum for improving 5G wireless connectivity and enabling private networks. The company also recently added XCOMP, a coordinated multipoint radio system technology for markets such as retail and warehouse automation.

Affiliate membership in SIA is open to satellite companies as well as supporting entities that advocate and promote the domestic commercial satellite industry.
