D-Orbit Announces Launch Contract with Turkish IoT New Space Company
Will Orbit Eight 6U Satellites for Plan-S
Space logistics company D-Orbit has announced a launch contract with Turkish New Space company Plan-S. The contract covers the launch of eight 6U satellites in two separate launches slated between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.

This contract marks what both companies believe to be the beginning of a long collaboration, as Plan-S has identified ION Satellite Carrier (ION), D-Orbit’s proprietary Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV), as the ideal technology to deploy their satellite constellation. “We are very happy about this collaboration with Plan-S, as it perfectly embodies our shared vision of innovative and accessible space technology” commented Matteo Lorenzoni, Head of Sales at D-Orbit. “We believe this marks a step towards significantly enhancing global IoT connectivity and Earth Observation capabilities.”
