Connecting Alaska Consortium Adds OneWeb

OneWeb and the Connecting Alaska Consortium are partnering to expand opportunities and enhance access to healthcare, education and safety in rural Alaska. The non-profit organization affords such opportunities to native tribes and communities in the state.

Connecting Alaska Consortium Leverages Broadband Opportunities

As a wholesale connectivity provider, OneWeb seeks to partner with internet service providers, telecommunication companies and community leaders who are seeking to deliver broadband services to unconnected, unserved and underserved areas. Through its participation in the Consortium, OneWeb aims to raise awareness about its connectivity solution to help deliver the benefits of broadband to more Tribes and communities across Alaska.

The Connecting Alaska Consortium is a not-for-profit organization created to empower Alaskan communities with their respective broadband opportunities. Through this structure, tribal leaders are able to converse, review and engage entities that complete their broadband solution. Our agnostic consortium equips tribal leaders to begin conversations with various members of our organization and enables tribal leaders to make decisions that are correct for their regions.
