Communication Upgrade for LizzieSat Unveiled
Expands Sidus Space Reach Into Near Real-Time Data Markets
A strategic communication upgrade for the LizzieSat platform has been announced by Sidus Space, integrating Iridium-enabled technology into future satellites to deliver low-latency data capabilities from space. This upgrade leverages the Iridium satellite constellation to provide real-time, direct-to-satellite phone messaging for a range of time-sensitive applications, including environmental monitoring, disaster response and maritime security.
“This upgrade demonstrates our commitment to rapid innovation, flexible, cost-effective solutions."

Powered by the proprietary AI-driven FeatherEdge processor, the Iridium-enabled communication system positions Sidus as the only provider of small-form, rapid data transmission services in the commercial space market. By minimizing reliance on traditional communication infrastructure, this solution provides uninterrupted data flow, even during network outages. The advanced system also offers geofencing capabilities for data targeting to specific regions, while also enabling personnel on the ground to query LizzieSat directly for real-time updates and customized information using its sensor suite.
“This breakthrough solution is designed to meet the urgent needs of customers who depend on time-sensitive information for decision-making,” said Carol Craig, CEO of Sidus Space. “This upgrade demonstrates our commitment to rapid innovation, flexible, cost-effective solutions and enhanced situational awareness across critical sectors.”
Sidus is partnered with Global Satellite Engineering to provide design and support services for the Iridium integration. “We are excited to continue innovation in satellite IoT technology by partnering with Sidus as they expand their capabilities and reach into new markets,” said Jeffrey Palmer, Director at Global Satellite Engineering.
This communication upgrade underscores Sidus Space’s mission of Space Access Reimagined and supports its expansion into data markets previously limited by traditional infrastructure, providing customers with enhanced situational awareness and data-as-a-service solutions tailored for critical, real-time applications.
