Björn Dressler Appointed Isar Aerospace Chief Operating Officer
Tasked with Scaling Up Production and Operations
Björn Dressler, formerly VP Production for Isar Aerospace, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer effective June 1, 2024. Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Josef Fleischmann, who has filled both the COO and CTO role, will focus on the technical development of the company.

With his comprehensive experience and proven capability in leading and scaling up the production and operations for high tech products, Dressler will steer Isar Aerospace’s operations and focus on establishing the company’s scalable series production driving maximum reliability, cost efficiency and flexibility.

In his new role, Dressler will be tasked with the scale-up of output, high quality and cost efficiency of Isar Aerospace’s operations with an industry leading level of automation and digitalization. Moreover, he will oversee Isar Aerospace’s relocation to the new headquarters near Munich, which will become one of the world's most advanced production sites for orbital launch vehicles.

With a strong foundation in industrial engineering and an MBA, Björn started his career in the Bosch management trainee program for production. He has led several operations with both Bosch and Siemens, showcasing leadership in high-tech and production environments. His passion for high-tech and production drives Björn’s expertise in the industry, making him an asset in advancing Isar Aerospace’s operational excellence. Björn joined the space company in 2022 as VP Production.
