Aline McNaull Joins SIA as New Director of Policy
Will Support SIA’s Legislative Advocacy and Regulatory Work
The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) has named Aline McNaull as its new Director of Policy. In her new role, Ms. McNaull will support SIA’s legislative advocacy and regulatory work on spectrum, broadband connectivity, trade, cybersecurity and other key policy areas of interest that are of critical importance to the commercial satellite industry and the Association’s members.

Since 2015, Ms. McNaull has been with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., (IEEE). As a Senior Legislative Representative, she developed federal policy proposals and advocacy strategy, advanced space, energy, defense and R&D priorities for the IEEE-USA and acted as an IEEE liaison with NASA, NSF, DoD and other domestic federal agencies. Prior to joining the IEEE, Ms. McNaull spent three years with the American Institute of Physics as Policy Associate where she coordinated NSF policy issues as well as discussions with the Office of Science and Technology Policy at the White House.
Ms. McNaull is a Master’s Degree candidate in International Science and Technology Policy at George Washington University in Washington, DC and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

The Satellite Industry Association is a recognized focal point for the U.S. commercial satellite industry based in Washington, DC, representing and advocating industry positions with key policy makers on Capitol Hill and with the White House, Federal Communications Commission and other key Executive Branch departments and agencies.
