Agreement Signed for OSSIE Payload Hosting
Space Locker and UARX to Offer Turn-Key Space Missions
An agreement has been signed between Spanish satellite manufacturer UARX and French satellite operator Space Locker to under which the companies will work together to offer a payload hosting service aboard the OSSIE vehicle as early as 2025.
"By combining the capabilities of our OSSIE with SpaceLocker’s technology, we are fostering our common vision of a more accessible and environmentally conscious space industry."

Payloads will be hosted on the UARX OSSIE space vehicle using Space Locker’s universal space port technology. To achieve this, SpaceLocker will be using UARX’s OSSIE vehicle as a platform. The first mission for the OSSIE (Orbit Solutions to Simplify Injection and Exploration) orbital transfer and hosted payload vehicle, scheduled in June 2025, has already accommodated 12 customers from three continents, including pocketqubes and cubesats. On top of the payloads to be deployed, different IODs from companies and institutions will fly on board the transfer vehicle.
"By combining the capabilities of our OSSIE with SpaceLocker’s technology, we are fostering our common vision of a more accessible and environmentally conscious space industry," said Federico Perazzo, UARX Space Business Development Manager.
"Progressively SpaceLocker is increasing its flight catalogue capabilities to be able to propose the best missions to our customers. One day, thanks to SpaceLocker and great partners such as UARX, sending hardware in orbit will be as easy as booking an Airbnb on the other side of the globe," said Théophile Lagraulet, CEO and co-founder of SpaceLocker.
